Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-07
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out permitted and prohibited uses of the backspacegeo platform. It binds all users and is the basis of our platform responsibilities (content safety, cybersecurity). Using the Platform constitutes acceptance.
2. Prohibited content (red lines)
The following may not be uploaded, generated, stored or distributed through the Platform: (1) content violating PRC laws and regulations; (2) content endangering national security, honor or interests, or inciting subversion, secession or ethnic discord; (3) state secrets, work secrets, classified information or internal sensitive government documents; (4) false advertising, unlawful advertising or absolute claims (where unmodified despite compliance warnings); (5) content infringing others' intellectual property, trade secrets, portrait, reputation or privacy rights; (6) obscene, violent, terroristic, gambling, fraud, pyramid-scheme or illegal-fundraising content; (7) spam (bulk harassment, clickbait, keyword manipulation); (8) malware, phishing and documents carrying attack payloads.
3. Prohibited conduct
(1) Penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, denial-of-service or access-control circumvention against the Platform (security research must follow our vulnerability reporting process); (2) unauthorised scraping, bulk automated account creation, or account sharing to evade quotas; (3) using the Service to send harassment or unsolicited marketing; (4) disrupting other tenants or Platform operations; (5) using the Service to assist the prohibited content above (e.g. generating evasive content for unlawful sites).
4. Content review and enforcement
We enforce this AUP through machine pre-checks (sensitive terms, industry compliance rules, AI labeling) and human review. Violations are handled by escalating steps: notice to correct → feature restriction → service suspension → account termination; where laws are broken we report to regulators and cooperate with investigations. Enforcement is notified to the user, who may appeal via ticket; we review within 5 business days.
5. Intellectual property
You warrant lawful rights or licenses to uploaded content. On valid infringement complaints we act under applicable regulations (notices, explanations, takedown where necessary). If your infringing content leads to third-party claims against us, you cooperate and bear corresponding liability.
6. Regulatory cooperation
Under the Cybersecurity Law and Data Security Law we cooperate with lawful investigations by cyberspace, public security and market regulators, disclosing the minimum scope required by law; we refuse requests beyond statutory scope. We inform users where lawful (except where prohibited by law).
7. Updates
We may update this AUP (e.g. legal changes or new abuse patterns); updates take effect on publication, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
